How to Update Unisco Via WordPress

IMPORTANT NOTE – Always backup your theme files and database before updating via the WordPress Dashboard.

    • Step 1 – First you need to deactivate your current unisco theme located in the WP Dashboard > Appearance > Themes section. To deactivate, simply switch to a different theme for example the default WordPress Twenty Sixteen theme or any other.
Please note: Your content will not be lost or erased.
    • Step 2 – Now you are ready to delete the old unisco theme. To do this, hover with your mouse over the theme thumbnail, click ‘Theme Details’ and in the corresponding window click the red ‘Delete’ button.
Please note: Your content will not be lost or erased.
    • Step 3 – Retrieve the new ‘unisco.zip’ file. If you have downloaded the main files, you need to unzip the master file to access the secondary unisco.zip file.
    • Step 4 – To install the Unisco update navigate to WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Themes – click the ‘Add New’ button at the top of the screen, and then click ‘Upload Theme’ and then browse to select the unisco.zip file located on your computer.
    • Step 5 – Once the upload completes click to activate Unisco.
    • Please note: Your content will not be lost or erased.
    • Step 6 – Lastly, update the Unisco Pro plugin if prompted. You might see a notification message notifying you that a new version of the Unisco Pro plugin is available and ready for update. If yes, then follow the onscreen prompt to complete the plugin update process.
