Customizer

Customizer options consist of all the global theme options. These options can be accessed from Dashboard > Appearance > Customize. Unisco customizer options are divided into 8 major sections.

Site Identity – Under this section you can set theme logo, display or hide site title and tagline and even set a favicon for your website. Unisco automatically displays site title and tagline if there is no logo image set.Apart from the default WordPress options we have added:

Mobile Logo option – The assigned logo image to this field will appear on small screens.

We have also provided the option to either display site title or site description or both. You can access this option by going to Dashboard > Appearance > Customizer > Site Identity.

Colors – Under this section you can set various theme colors. It includes:

  • Header Background Color.
  • Header Text Color.
  • Background Color.
  • Accent Color.
  • Body Text Color.
  • Footer Text Color.
  • Footer Heading Color.
  • Footer Background Color.

You can access this option by going to Dashboard > Appearance > Customizer > Colors.

Header Image – Under this section you can set a header background image that will be displayed behind post title on every page except the front page because a slider is displayed on the front page. You can either select to display a single image or randomize the images either uploaded ones or suggested ones. If randomized, then the header will show different header background image on every page load.

Background Image – Under this section you can set a background image to be displayed on every page.

Front Slider – Under this section you can enable or disable front slider. This section is available only to the users of Unisco Lite. Pro users can setup the slider on every page using the slider options on edit page screen.

Heading Typography –Under header typography you can change the font family and font size for each of the heading tags namely, h1, h2, h3, h4, h5 & h6.. You can access this option by going to Dashboard > Appearance > Customizer > Unisco Pro > Header Typography.

Body Typography – Under body typography you can change the font family and font size for body text (p tag in html).You can access this option by going to Dashboard > Appearance > Customizer > Unisco Pro > Body Typography.

Page Layout – Under this section you can set the default layout for these page types:

  • Single Post
  • Single Page
  • Single Course
  • Post Archive
  • Course Archive

+ You can even hide slider on every page.

You can access this option by going to Dashboard > Appearance > Customizer > Unisco Pro > Page Layout.

Posts – Under this section you can set various post related options like:

  • Hide author and category links. You can overwrite this on single post edit page.
  • Hide footer links on single post. You can overwrite this on single post edit page.
  • Hide previous and next post links on single post. You can overwrite this on single post edit page.

Pages – Under this section you can set various post related options like:

Hide post metafields on single page. You can overwrite this on single page edit screen.

Courses – Under this section you can set various course related options like:

  • Hide ratings on course archive page.
  • Hide ratings on single course page. You can overwrite this on single course page.
  • Hide post navigation on single course page. You can overwrite this on single course edit page.

Footer – Under this section you can set various course related options like:

  • Hide pre footer widgets. You can overwrite this on single post edit page.
  • Hide footer widgets. You can overwrite this on single post edit page.
  • Hide copyright area. You can overwrite this on single post edit page.

Google Maps – Under this option you need to add an API key for Google maps.

  1. Go to Google Maps Developers Website
  2. Click on “Get a Key” button
  3. Fill in the details as required
  4. Now choose API Key for “Web Browser” and submit
  5. Now you can see the API key. Copy that.

Rest of the options available are default WordPress options like Menu, Widgets, etc.
